Yosemite National Park is located in Sierra Nevada, California. It stretches across 747,956 acres between the eastern parts of Tuolumne, Mariposa and Madera counties in the central eastern area of Sunny California, which includes 1,200 (1,900 km) square miles of mountainous terrain. To put into perspective you can fit the state of Rhode Island (1,212 square miles) just on the Mountainous terrain region of Yosemite National Park.
